Conditions of Venue Hire

1. The Hirer enters, uses and occupies the Subiaco Play Centre building and grounds (“the Premises”) entirely at the Hirer’s, and/or the Hirer's child(ren), own risk.

2. The Hirer must ensure that any attendee of the Hirer's party ("Attendee") (or, in the case of Attendees under the age of 18, a parent of the Attendee) is aware that the Attendee enters, uses and occupies the Premises entirely at the Attendee's own risk.

3. The Subiaco Play Centre is not liable to the Hirer, and the Hirer releases Subiaco Play Centre from, any claim, loss, cost or expense paid, suffered or incurred by or available to the Hirer relating to his/her, or his/her child(ren)'s, use or occupation of the Premises.

4. The Hirer is liable for and indemnifies Subiaco Play Centre from and against all actions, claims, costs, proceedings, suits and demands whatsoever which may at any time be brought, maintained or made against Subiaco Play Centre in respect of:

   • any loss (including loss of use), injury or damage of or to any kind of property (including the Premises and property of third parties); and

   • in respect of any death or injury sustained by any person; directly or indirectly caused by, arising out of, or in connection with:

   • use or occupation of the Premises by the Hirer, the Hirer's child(ren), and/or an Attendee; or

   • any negligent or other tortious act or omission of the Hirer, the Hirer's child(ren), and/or an Attendee.

5. Subiaco Play Centre is not liable for any theft, loss or damage to the property of the Hirer, the Hirer's child(ren) or an Attendee.

6. If you need to cancel your booking, please note that we require three weeks notice prior to the booking date in order for you to receive a full refund. Please send an email to fundraiser.subiplaygroup@gmail.com with your cancellation request.

Other Information

• Subiaco Playgroup is a NUT FREE venue. Please do not bring food containing nuts to the centre.

• Given the limited resources of Subiaco Playgroup, the supplies in the arts cupboard are reserved for playgroup members only

• Please do not use tape or blu-tac on the painted walls. Use the hooks placed around the room, or scotch tape for any decorations.

• Subiaco Playgroup is an ALCOHOL FREE venue. Please do not bring or consume alcohol on the premises. 

Kitchen Facilities   

• The kitchen has a convection microwave, a small oven/grill, a filtered water unit with hot and cold water, and a small bar fridge.  There are coffee cups, plastic cups, cutlery and plates for your use. Please supply your own tea, coffee, milk and sugar as those there are for Playgroup use.

• There is a barbeque stored in one of the toy sheds for your use, but you will need to bring your own bottle of gas.

Cleaning

• When your party has finished, please leave the centre in a clean and tidy state. There is a list (found on the side of the kitchen cabinet closest to the front door) of tasks that should be completed prior to leaving.
